The Asset Class "Maritime Assets"

This asset class offers financing concepts and investment options in the area of maritime assets and industrial plants.

Established in 2005, the asset class has since acquired around USD 600 million in ship projects. In addition to six container ships with capacities ranging from 1,700 to 3,600 TEU*, we are also targeting the bulk carrier market and have secured access to eight Handysize and Supramax-class ships. In the future, we plan to invest in the tanker segment and niche shipping markets as well.

In addition to classic investment in vessels, the asset class is also involved in adjacent maritime industries such as port infrastructure, containers and the offshore industry. Another focus of our investment activities is industrial plants. These include power-generating installations such as power plants and distribution networks, as well as installations for conveying, storing and distributing raw materials such as petroleum and natural gas.

We are assisted in the acquisition, development and management of our corporate closed-end fund exclusively by excellent, experienced partners. For example, our contract carriers F.A. Vinnen, Leonhardt & Blumberg, Interorient Navigation and Carsten Rehder all boast many years of experience in the industry.

In addition to the classic German tonnage-control model, we also offer innovative, optimum-control solutions in the international arena. The asset class also designs leasing structures for carriers and institutional investors that wish to have access to ships but prefer off-balance financing.
